At the time of his transition, Dr. Robert was serving the First Divine Science Church of St. Louis as Practitioner and Office Manager. He also was an active member of the Divine Science Ministers Association (DSMA), which he represented on the Divine Science Federation's Board of Review at the time of his transition. In honoring him with its Service Award in 2008, the Federation (DSFI) noted the following attributes of Dr. Winterhalter: Scholar: Dr. Winterhalter delved extensively into the early works of Malinda Cramer and wrote and presented on this material. Teacher: He set up and served as President of the Divine Science School in St. Louis for many years before it moved to Washington D.C. He taught many students, from both here and abroad. Minister: Through the years, he served in a ministerial role with the St. Louis area churches including Belleville, Illinois. Author: Dr. Winterhalter wrote several books based on his scholarly exploration of the Bible. In accepting that same Service Award in 2008, Dr. Robert quoted St. Paul from Timothy II, 4:7: "I have fought the good fight. I have completed the race. I have kept the faith." With the same "Love and Light" which he bestowed on all who met him, we Bless his Life and thank God for our time with him here on earth. |
