Originally from New Zealand, James migrated to Australia in 1973 to pursue his career in transport engineering and road safety. He was, for several years, an elder of the Uniting Church in Australia. He has held a life-long interest in world religions and served as a volunteer with the Parliament of the World's Religions in 2009. Coincidentally, James discovered the world of New Thought at Unity of Melbourne. Subsequently he undertook ministerial training with the Brooks Centre for Spirituality under the guidance and tutelage of Rev Dr Sylvia Eriksson, graduating in 2015. James serves as treasurer for the First Church of Divine Science, Australia.
